12 Oral presentations are expected this year.

A scientific committee will select abstracts that will be presented during the “Young researcher prize session”.

Do not worry, if your research work is not selected for an oral presentation. It will be presented as poster.

We encourage any research in a field of vascular biomaterials.
The prize of 3000 € will be shared among 3 best communications made by a young researcher or a young medical physician in the field of vascular biomaterials

To participate, researchers should be less than 35 years-old.

They have to send their abstracts before March 30th, 2011.

Call for abstracts
In 1999, the European Symposium for Vascular Biomaterials decided to create Young Researcher Award in order to recognize innovative, outstanding research work performed by young researchers early in their careers, in the field of vascular biomaterials.
Previous winners of the Prize:
2007
- Laura INDOLFI, PhD student at CRIB - Interdisciplinary Research Center on Biomaterials, University of Naples Federico II, Italy for work titled: “Drug eluting stents: novel approach for multifactorial controlled release”.
- Sébastien FRANCOIS, PhD student at Surface Engineering Laboratory, Laval University, Quebec, Canada for work titled: “Effect of textile micro-texture on the adhesion and proliferation of endothelial cells”.
2005
- Silvia SCHIEVANO, Great Ormond Street Hospital, University College of London, London, UK for work titled: “Rapid prototyping into the study of percutaneous valved stent implantation”.

This year this valuable prize is endorsed by the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) and this valuable prize will be offered by Alsace Biovalley and Pôle Fibre Grand Est.
