The goal of the ESVB 2011 meeting is to meet at the same time the main actors involved in research and use of vascular biomaterials in order to develop the multidisciplinary approach that we believe is essential in this ﬁeld. We thus want to create an interactive plate-form that should allow us to have productive exchanges and make a durable future collaboration.

Next year, the topic of the plenary sessions will be:

The conferences will be published in a book available on site during the meeting. Satellite symposia will also be organized by our major sponsors.

The symposium will take place in Strasbourg. The capital of Europe, Strasbourg is a very attractive and cultural city. There are many famous places to visit downtown including the Cathedral, the Petite France district (the old town), the European Parliament and Council and so on. The particularity of Alsace and the region around Strasbourg is its gastronomic and wineproducing culture. Don’t forget to visit the famous Route des Vins d’Alsace (wine producing road) with its multitude of small villages and wineries. Moreover, the symposium is organized during the season of asparagus, a very traditional meal of Alsace region.
